Regional Connectors

Club Geography & Distribution

The Mount Holyoke College club of Southern California has over a 1,000 members, and its jurisdiction stretches across 12 counties including Inyo, Los Angeles, Kern, Kings, Nevada, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura. To encourage engagement with our membership and ensure that activities and events are decentralized across this vast expanse, the Club’s Strategic Plan called for creation of a regional network of alum volunteers referred to as “regional connectors”. Club celebrated events such as Mountain Day and Mary Lyon’s Birthday will be celebrated fairly simultaneously across all the jurisdiction while place-specific activities will be organized that reduce commute times and increase access.
