A staged reading of the award-winning screenplay for "We See You" followed by a wine and cheese reception.
"We See You," from writers Lisa Chess and Guy J. Jackson, is a thriller feature currently seeking funding. This will be a rehearsed, lively reading providing a peek behind-the-scenes of an exciting new project.
Synopsis: In a bid to salvage their relationship, a couple relocates to a new experimental community for the summer. The community promises healing, reunification, and a return to well-being for the whole family. A matriarchal power rules the town and seeks to restore order for women who have, for too long, found themselves victims. They are here to redress the balance, but at what cost and to whom?
The story pivots around a betrayal, a fractured marriage, and how this impacts a young son. However, layered in is a fantastical, dystopian horror element that draws into focus many of the current issues women face in this post #MeToo era.
Run time is 120 minutes followed by reception.
